Think Big, Work Local

Human Resources

Human Resources Officers arrange for staff to be paid, arrange superannuation and holidays. Human Resources Managers help develop rates of pay and work conditions for council staff.

Human Resource staff can help Managers in council train, coach and develop all other council staff. Human Resources may also get involved with all sorts of programs to increase the health and happiness of all council staff.

When you apply for a council job you are likely to be given a Human Resources staff member as a contact. If you get a job interview with a council, it is likley that someone from Human Resources will be on the panel interviewing you.
