Located in NSW’s Lake Macquarie district, Bayside Aged Care enjoys the coastal lifestyle of the Bonnell’s Bay community. Our Home offers all levels of permanent, respite and palliative care whilst encouraging independence and lifestyle choices that suit the needs of every individual. Bayside also features a dedicated Memory Support neighbourhood providing a secure place for residents living with dementia to enjoy their interests and have access to the support and care appropriate to specific lifestyle needs.

The Job

We have a mission to provide high quality and nutritious food to our residents and any visitors/families. As a cook you will be responsible for working with the Chef and cook to plate, prepare and serve food for all 5 meals of the day. 

Shift available across 7 days.

To be successful, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar 


• Current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (Mandatory)


• Food Handling and Hygiene certificate


• Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen within aged care or a hospital preferable


• Bulk cooking experience highly desirable


• Experience with texture modified food advantageous


• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)


• Police Check (valid within the last 2.5 years)


• Flu Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)


• Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
